Personal data collected
When you subscribe to the newsletter, Ethereum Institutional collects your email address so it can send you updates about Ethereum Institutional and the institutional Ethereum ecosystem.
When you apply for a seat at an Ethereum Institutional Forum event, Ethereum Institutional collects the name, email address and institution you give on the form, together with anything else you choose to write in it, so that the application can be considered and answered.
The website may also collect basic technical information, such as IP address and browser type, through standard server logs to ensure the site is delivered securely and reliably.
How and why your data is used
Ethereum Institutional uses your email address to send newsletters and informational updates you have requested. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you give when you subscribe.
A seat application is used to consider and answer it, to arrange the event, and to keep a record of who was invited and who attended. The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interests in convening these events, and, where a seat is offered and accepted, the arrangement made with you.
Server log data is used to operate, secure, and maintain the website and is processed on the basis of legitimate interests in ensuring a secure and functional service.
Beehiiv and other recipients
Ethereum Institutional uses Beehiiv as its email newsletter and subscription platform, which stores and processes subscriber data (including email addresses and related metadata) on its infrastructure. Beehiiv acts as a data processor and processes personal data only on documented instructions from Ethereum Institutional and under appropriate data protection terms.
In addition, standard website hosting and security providers may process technical data to keep the website available and secure. Personal data is not sold and is only shared where necessary to provide the services described above or to comply with legal obligations.
Retention
Email addresses are retained while you remain subscribed to the newsletter. If you unsubscribe, your email address will be removed from active mailing lists and may be kept in a suppression list only to ensure that you do not receive further emails.
Basic server log data is kept for a limited period that is appropriate for security and diagnostic purposes.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
